Members of the Drumbo Fire Station were on hand for this years Drumbo Fair once again. They brought with them their Pumper and Tanker Trucks and the Oxford County Mutual Aid Associations “Smoke House.” Extrication tools and the AED(Automated External Defibrillator) were on display for the public as well as literature pertaining to Fire Safety and Township By-laws. The firefighters also had a hose setup with a target so that the kids were able to get a hands on experience with the hose!
The Smoke House was busy all weekend long, with adults and children going through to learn about fire safety pertaining to evacuation plans. The fire truck was also a busy area with the public learning about the services that the fire station performs on an on-call basis. Spraying the hose was a big hit with the kids and a few adults as well!
An Auto Extrication demonstration was also done on Saturday
A special visit from our mascot Sparky the Fire Dog was a big hit with the Kids as well.
